“Last time there was this much excitement about a tablet, it had some commandments written on it.” – Martin Peers, The Wall Street Journal
This quote was written at the end of last year about a purely mythical iDevice. A month later, Steve Jobs introduced the iPad to the world. Such a device created much talk among the tech universe, ranging from pricing, purpose and, most importantly, the name. Conversation staters such as, “What the heck made them go, ‘Yeah, that would be a cool name for this new toy.’?” ignited all over the place. (Note: You can thank A for that conversation starter) A shy greater than 90 days later, to borrow a catchphrase from John Cena, my iPad is here! And regardless of the name, this thing is amazing. It is “magical and revolutionary?” It’s hard to tell at this point but, I can say, you had me at “Swipe to unlock.”
